Christmas Eve

My mom has the best Christmas tradition! To make sure the focus is on Christ, on Christmas Eve we have a big family dinner and eat things Jesus would have eaten by candle light and talk about the Savior.

Then we have a Christmas program where we reinact Jesus' birth; read from the scriptures and sing Christmas songs while the kids act it out. My mom & step-dad put so much work into it, they're so cute with all the kids and always do such an incredible job to make it a wonderful experience for everyone! I love it! It has always helped us feel and remember the true spirit and meaning of Christmas!

Another incredible dinner!

Alexandra was Mary and Brian was the donkey this year.

The triplets are always the perfect shepherds and wisemen!

Mom showing Madison the picture of the Nativity scene.
I'm so glad her Grammy has taught her what Christmas is really all about and not just toys and presents!

Cutest Grandparents ever!!!

Zoo Lights

We froze but it was worth it because Maddy loved the Zoo Lights!
It was fun seeing the animals at night too.

Rowland turned 30!

Rowland turned 30 just two months before me! We had a huge bash, the house was packed, a big dinner, incredible turnout; it was great! His sister & brother-in-law were even in town for the Holidays from East Canada who we only get to see once every few years...it was a real treat!
His birthday is right before Christmas so I wanted to make sure it did not get overlooked! :)

Opening his presents

I don't think he was too thrilled about the Men's "Caution: Extremely Hot" Bbq apron I bought for him.
I think it suits him so well, and he does love to Barbeque! :)
He liked the BYU sweatshirt my parents gave him much more!

Two of his beautiful sisters, Elise & Laura

Rowland's 1st 30 years:

In all the excitement, I completely forgot to have everyone sing to him so we did after everyone left. I must say, I think the party went very well!
